Florida Golfing Greatness
Anyone that loves to play the game of golf knows darn well that the best golf courses in the country are found in Florida. For ordinary people like us, there’s lots of opportunity to tee up where the pros do.
Did you know that Florida is the only State that has its own PGA Tour “swing?” Meaning, Florida has a part of the annual tournament schedule all its own. It starts in March and with the Masters right around the corner, this is the time when the tour begins to get serious.
Also, the other pro golf tours plan their events during the year in the Sunshine State. Although some of the events are held at expensive private country clubs or gated communities, many of them are held on resorts or daily–fee courses.
Here are two of the best tournament golf courses where you too, could play just like Tiger, Phil, and the rest of the guys.
TPC at Sawgrass, Ponte Verde Beach
This is the home of THE PLAYER’S Championship. It was named one of the top ten best golf resorts in the world. Surrounded by sand and water, the holes offer a nice challenge.
The TPC at Sawgrass offers the best three-hole sequence in the world. It has also the most famous 17th hole, known as the “Island Hole.” To win the game, you must have the right club, the right wind and a great swing.
The Moors Golf and Lodging, Milton
The Moors is one of excellent golf courses in Northwest, Florida. The Moors is a Scottish Style golf course, being Scotland is the Birthplace of golf. The Moors also offers both the handicapper and seasoned pro the best setting to improve that swing.
The Moors is the most talked about, must play public daily fee golf facilities in the Gulf Coast.
